Targeted Cryoneurolysis of the Celiac Plexus and Splanchnic Nerves: The When, Why, and How
There are many patients that are opioid dependent. Cryoneurolysis is a non-pharmacologic minimally invasive treatment to treat pain, reduce patients opioid use, and improve quality of life.
This workshop will outline the clinical picture for treating the celiac plexus and splanchnic nerve for intractable upper abdominal pain using cryoneurolysis while understanding patient selection and the treatment differences between thermal and chemical neurolysis and adverse events. In depth overview will be given on anatomy, treatment techniques, protocols for cryoneurolysis, and patient follow-up.
