ABSTRACT
The objective is to show an efficient method for setting a low number of complications in the surgical treatment of proximal humerus fractures in two parts, according to the Neer classification. Were analyzed between 2005 and 2008, 22 fixations in 22 patients, age ranged from 19 to 96 years (mean 58.36 years) using wires of smooth kirshnner, backward, 2.0 mm in diameter, placed percutaneously , dynamic with three points of support (1 - cortical input, 2 - opposite cortex, 3 - humeral head). The incision varied 02-08 cm in size, with no predominance of sex. Minimum follow-up time was 09 months. Comment on the advantages of minimal aggression soft tissue, the minimum amount of synthetic material, the number and manner of placing the wires with three points of support for the stability of fixation, which allows dynamic compression of the fracture site by the action of deltoid muscle and a high rate of consolidation, low rate of complications, faster functional recovery and patient satisfaction score when evaluated by the UCLA (University of California at Los Angeles). Excellent results were obtained in all cases the sample (100%). The reduced loss rate, infection, nerve damage and necrosis in this sample until the evaluation was zero. It concludes that it is an excellent method of attachment and has a low complication rate.
