Patient with perineal hernia after proctectomy for rectal cancer. Prior attempted repair with synthetic mesh. Small bowel incarcerated within hernia. The deep reach of the SP robot was helpful for freeing the bowel. Small bowel resection and anastomosis (not shown at 3:31) performed open through SP access incision.
