Rotator cuff lesions are the most commonly diagnosis and treated conditions of the shoulder. The ...

Recently, many work and articles are comparing outcomes, in term of tendon loads, restorating of right foot-print and improve of healing biology, using single row, double row and trans-osseous equivalent techniques.
The results are all similar, but we have common complications in each of these technique.
Anchors repair can fail in three ways.
- Device pull-out in poor quality bones
- Suture breakage, generally at the point at which it is connected to the anchor
- Eyelet breakage
Trans-osseous repair normally can fail when wires cut the bone.
In this video we show a system that combines both concepts, trying to obtain good repair in arthroscopy approach, reducing common complications.
Needle shape memory allows to pass the wires through the bone using only one input and multiple outputs on the foot print. Lateral device prevents cutting bone by the wires.
1. INDICATIONS :
a. Large/Massive tears
b. Revision cases
2. ADVANTAGES
a. Recreate the original tendon foot-print
b. No hardware migration in osteopenic bone
c. Potential cost savings (avoid anchors use)
d. Useful in arthroscopic tuberosity reconstruction
3. DISADVANTAGES
a. Medium-long learnig curve
b. Further outcomes research needed
c. Longer mean surgical time
d. No cost advantages in small lesion
