read more ↘ latissimus dorsi myotendinous delamination 5 years out from injury in an international patient who flew in for the procedure. To our knowledge, this injury pattern and technique for the repair have never been reported previously, especially in the setting of a 5 year-old injury.
Standard latissimus tendon tears are already exceptionally rare, with a paucity of literature describing surgical management. Considering this and the fact that most, if not all drawings and descriptions of the anatomy in this area are with the shoulder at relative adduction and neutral rotation, a cadaveric dissection and anatomy review with the shoulder in 90 degrees of forward flexion and max internal rotation accompanies the surgical video to help surgeons with the preoperative planning for this challenging case.
