read more ↘ graft is taken over the top of the lateral femoral condyle, over the top of the front of the tibia, and under the intermeniscal ligament. The graft is sutured to the lateral femoral periosteum and proximal tibial periosteum in order to avoid drilling tunnels, which could result in injury to the growth plates. This technique is performed by Dr. Robert Marx and Dr. Daniel Green at Hospital for Special Surgery. Dr. Marx learned the technique from Dr. Lyle Micheli and Dr. Min Kocher at Boston Children's Hospital.
