read more ↘ complained of invalidating anterior knee pain. They had PF OA secondary to trochlear dysplasia type C. I believe that a complete PF osteochondral allografting is the best option considering their age and functional impairment. This technique is somehow "home-made" as no cutting guides have been designed as far as I know Postoperatively, it was allowed to weight bear in full extension immediately, and encouraged full ROM in CPM 7-8 hours a day. After 3 to 4 months, both patients were already in a much better condition than before surgery. It is expected further improvements up to 1 years from surgery. The follow-up protocol involves PROM's and CT scans or MRI's every 3 months up to a year and then, yearly, PROM's and MRI.
