Autonomic Failure: Testing and Medical Management

Melissa is a Neurology NP with clinical experience in managing autonomic failure and neurodegenerative conditions. In this lecture, Melissa will present the pathophysiology, presenting signs and symptoms, exam findings, and work-up in autonomic failure.
She will also provide an overview of pharmacotherapeutics and life style changes that she has found beneficial for her patients, many of which primary care is well-positioned to carry out.
Melissa is our first recipient of the APP2APP “Triple A award”, which stands for Amazingly Accomplished APP award. APP2APP would like to recognize Melissa for recently launching a new LLC called Minding After.
The mission of Minding After is to create a community of dementia caregivers to allow them to easily access expert information on dementia. Melissa offers 1:1 coaching for caregivers. She will soon be launching a Podcast where she will be interviewing caregivers and providers to allow them to share their personal stories. She has also created Facebook group called the Ultimate Dementia Resource Group.
