The fixation is very secure and reliable if an appropriate implant is used. Also, the technique has a short learning curve and once mastered can be performed in approximately 10 minutes. I have performed every type of biceps tenodesis from arthroscopic to open; subpectoral to suprapectoral; soft tissue fixation to anchors. In my opinion, this technique is the easiest to perform and does not sacrifice anything from a fixation strength or reliability standpoint.
