read more ↘ Roidis, MD, PhD, DSc., KAT Hospital, Athrens, Greece (www.roidisnt.gr) without the use of any special traction table or fluoroscopic control, with the patient in the lateral position (3rd Orthopaedic Department). The skin incision is anterolateral, small and adapted to each case, the injury of soft tissue is minimal and there is no need of homologous blood transfusion almost in all cases, without the use of any drains. Use of fast track surgery and local infiltration analgesia protocols that facilitate early & rapid rehabilitation with full weight bearing within the first 24 hours post-op. Patient discharge from the hospital within 3-4 days post-op. Implants used: Acetabular cup Trilogy, Femoral stem: VerSys, Zimmer, USA.
