61 yr. old male patient with a history of chronic type II diabetes and rheumatoid ...
read more ↘ arthritis. He complains of a 3 month non traumatic shoulder pain and limited range of motion. He´s been in 33 rehab sessions without improvement. He comes to me referred by the physical therapist complaing of sever nocturnal pain and being unable to do activities of daily living. An adhesive capsulitis is diagnosed clinically and by MRI and a 360° arthroscopic capsulotomy is performed threw anterior and posterior approaches. He´s now 3 months post op and has finished a 30 session physical therapy program that started since day 1 post op and he has gained full range of motion and is pain free. His glucose levels have been controlled and has a stable RA. He had a 9 Hemoglobin A1C level when diagnosed.
