OVERVIEW
Minimally invasive techniques have increased in popularity due to their ability to reduce surgical risks. What are the benefits of performing direct anterior approach (DAA) for total hip replacement versus posterior or lateral approaches? To determine when it’s appropriate to use DAA, the Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement Service of HSS will host the Direct Anterior Approach for Total Hip Replacement Webinar Series, which includes Direct Anterior Approach THR: Tips to Ease the Learning Curve, and Direct Anterior Approach THR: Complications and Complex Cases. HSS surgeons continue to lead the field in both innovation and the number of hip and knee replacement surgeries performed each year.
