This symposium consists of didactic and hands on lab sessions. The morning didactic session will cover a variety of topics such as:
- Robotic-Assisted Bronchoscopy
- Advanced Imaging Technologies for Bronchoscopy
- Endoscopic and Surgical Management of Tracheal Stenosis
- Medical and Surgical Management of Tracheobronchomalacia
- Lung Volume Reduction - Endobronchial and Surgical Techniques
- Anesthesia For Interventional Pulmonary Procedures
The hands-on afternoon session will be held in the cadaver lab. Attendees will rotate through the following stations:
- Percutaneous Tracheostomy
- Rigid Bronchoscopy
- Medical Thoracoscopy
- Flexible Therapeutic Bronchoscopy
- Endobronchial Valves
- Cryotherapy and APC Station
Educational Objectives:
- Discuss the role of robotic-assisted bronchoscopy in a diagnostic evaluation of pulmonary lung nodules
- Review available advanced imaging modalities used during bronchoscopy
- Describe the multidisciplinary approach to patients with patients with excessive dynamic airway collapse (EDAC) and Tracheobronchomalacia
- Review Endobronchial and Surgical Lung Volume Reduction procedures for patients with severe emphysema
