LEARNING OBJECTIVES

As a result of participating in this activity, the learner will be able to:

  • Contrast the differences between a tracheostomy and laryngectomy airway
  • Identify voice rehabilitation options after laryngectomy (voice box removal)
  • Summarize benefits of different communication options for both tracheostomy and laryngectomy patients
