LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Evaluate the indications and risks of peripheral vascular disease and critical limb ischemia.
- Identify a treatment option algorithm and address complications of peripheral vascular disease and critical limb ischemia.
- Interpret biomarkers, genome, and genetic determinants of patients with cardiovascular disease
- Demonstrate appropriate pharmacologic management in the care of patients with cardiovascular disease.
- Define the basic principles and management of venous disease and foot ulcers.
- Identify the indications, risks, treatment options, and complications of arch, descending, thoracoabdominal and abdominal aneurysms and dissections.
- Recognize the current treatment options and management of acute/chronic, symptomatic/asymptomatic, and complicated/uncomplicated aortic disease.
- Analyze the latest trials for aortic, peripheral vascular disease venous and foot ulcers.
- Formulate a treatment algorithm for carotid disease.
- Discuss the pros and cons of new and established strategies for acute and chronic DVT treatment, what still works, what might work and what doesn’t work based on evidence.
