Overview
Don't miss the chance to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field of cardiac imaging at the SCCT2025 Technologist hands-on workshop. This 4-hour technologist workshop will focus on two main topics, ECG gating and 3D post processing. Cardiac imaging is reliant on ECG gating. In session one, attendees will get to the heart of ECG basics education, share pre-acquisition decision algorithms and post-acquisition editing guidance. This session will conclude with a case-based learning session utilizing the strategies learned. The second session will be all about cardiac post processing which will include both educational presentations and hands-on learning opportunities. The workshop will also cover the uses of AI in cardiac post processing and will end with an opportunity to practice skills learned on real cases.
Learning Objectives
Session 1
- Identify the components of an ECG and commonly encountered ECG rhythms/interference.
- Describe the components of pre and post-scan guidelines.
- Explain how the pre and post-scan guidelines facilitate high quality cardiac CT imaging and demonstrate their application.
Session 2
- Recognize 3DPP protocols needed for accurate result in specific software.
- Practice measurements needed for specific cardiac protocols.
- Perform complete protocol for CCTA post processing exam, such as MPR, rotational batches, stenotic measurements/result as applicable.
- Identify processes/workflows needed for providing CCTA 3D post processing results.
- Recognize and/or create protocols needed for CCTA 3D post processing.
- Understand the technologists role using AI in 3DPP to provide accurate results.
Accreditation
The Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT) is providing 4.5 ASRT Category A CE credits for this program. No CE credits will be provided for the Scientific Sessions running concurrently with the Technologist Workshop.
