Overview

Cleveland Clinic Trigeminal Neuralgia and Facial Pain specialists from neurology, neurosurgery, pain management, and integrative medicine will present a CME-accredited virtual half day symposium dedicated to comprehensive multidisciplinary evaluation and management of trigeminal neuralgia and facial pain. Lectures will be supplemented with Q&A and panel discussions.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant will be able to do the following:

  • Evaluate a patient with facial pain and diagnose the appropriate facial pain syndrome
  • Recognize secondary causes of facial pain and identify appropriate diagnostic studies that are needed
  • Describe the medical management options available for treating trigeminal neuralgia
  • Identify the types of procedural and surgical options available to treat facial pain
  • Describe Eagle Syndrome and its relation to facial pain

Target Audience

This educational activity is intended for neurosurgeons, neurologists, pain management specialists, cranio- maxillofacial surgeons, family practitioners, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses and patient advocates that are interested in multidisciplinary state-of-the-art management of trigeminal neuralgia.

Accreditation

American Medical Association (AMA)
Cleveland Clinic Center for Continuing Education designates this internet live activity for a maximum of 4.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Participants claiming CME credit from this activity may submit the credit hours to the American Osteopathic Association for Category 2 credit.
