OVERVIEW
Make plans to join us in June for the launch of a new course, OrthoVirginia Soccer Medicine 2022, a collaboration between OrthoVirginia and FORE, the Foundation for Orthopaedic Research and Education.
Sessions will be held virtually on 3 consecutive evenings, Tuesday, June 14, through Thursday, June 16, for 2.5 hours each evening. (Note: Next year’s course will be held in person; this year’s course is virtual only.)
OrthoVirginia Soccer Medicine 2022 is designed to provide an evidence-based update on the latest techniques and technologies for prevention, management, and rehabilitation of injuries in the soccer athlete. A distinguished faculty will present these concepts through didactic lectures, case presentations, and panel discussions.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Recognize non-operative and operative treatment options for common soccer injuries
- Identify strategies available for optimizing athletes’ return from injury
- Compare and contrast rehabilitation strategies for athletes recovering from surgery
- Interpret the utility of injury prevention programs and potential impact of an athlete’s performance
- Identify common sideline emergencies that occur during sideline care of soccer players
TARGET AUDIENCE
OrthoVirginia Soccer Medicine 2022 is intended for physicians, fellows, residents, physician assistants, athletic trainers, strength and conditioning specialists, and any other healthcare professional whose scope of practice includes the prevention, management, and rehabilitation of injuries in the soccer athlete.
ACCREDITATION
The Foundation for Orthopaedic Research & Education (FORE) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
FORE designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
