The CME webinar will describe the advanced techniques and innovative indications of hip arthroscopy for various disorders including femoroacetabular impingement, dysplasia, extraarticular hip disorders, tendon injuries, and avascular necrosis of the hip. The focus will be on state-of-the-art arthroscopic and minimally invasive procedures to address these various pathologies. There will also be invaluable insight on when open surgical correction is necessary, and the limitations of arthroscopic surgery will be delineated. The faculty will be composed of the world's eminent hip surgeons from the department of orthopedic surgery within the divisions of sports medicine, pediatric orthopedics, and the center of excellence for hip preservation at NYU Langone Health.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
After participating in this activity, clinicians should be able to:
- Describe the types of pathologies for which hip arthroscopy can be utilized
- Apply updates on hip arthroscopy techniques
- Recognize hip diseases, both intra-articular and extra-articular, that are amenable to treatment from hip arthroscopy
