MS Advanced 2022 is a one-day, virtual program focusing on intensive state-of-the-art review of heart failure and advanced cardiac care consisting of didactic lectures, debates and expert panel discussions of emerging or controversial topics in heart failure, mechanical circulatory support and cardiac transplantation.

TARGETED AUDIENCE

This symposium has been designed to meet the educational needs of General and Sub-Specialized Cardiologists, Cardiothoracic Surgeons, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Transplant Professionals, Fellows in Training, VAD Coordinators and Ancillary Staff committed to caring for complex cardiac patients.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

At the end of this CME activity participants should be able to:

  • Describe the benefits of revascularization in patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy
  • Describe the contemporary approach to quantify and manage secondary mitral regurgitation
  • Review the evidence for development of heart failure in patients with frequent VPCs and role fro VPC ablation
  • Review value of VT ablation in patients with end stage heart failure
  • Review the impact of atrial fibrillation on heart failure clinical outcomes 
  • Review the role of atrial fibrillation ablation in patients with heart failure
  • Describe the hemodynamic changes that occur in cardiogenic shock and how these changes are impacted by currently available drugs and devices
  • Review the indications for and clinical outcomes with the use of temporary mechanical circulatory support devices in cardiogenic shock
  • Review outcomes of current mechanical devices versus cardiac transplant
  • Review development of new durable left ventricular assist devices 
  • Review the impact of CoVid on acute and chronic cardiac function

ACCREDITATION

The MS Advanced Innovations in Heart Failure Symposium is offering CME credit for course participation. Attendees who will be claiming a CME Certificate will be charged a $25 certificate fee when completing the CME evaluation and application for credit after the course.
