The Migraine Symposium is a two-day educational and celebratory event that expands our understanding of migraine with the help of presentations by more than 35 experts from around the country. The symposium is divided into two tracks, one tailored to medical professionals and the other to patients and the general public, however, both programs are open to all attendees.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of the symposium, participants should be better able to:
- Discuss the overlapping pathophysiology between migraine and unsuspecting comorbid conditions
- Explain how migraine affects the visual system
- Discuss the role of opioids in migraine care and potential risks
- Organize training of a more diverse healthcare and research workforce and assess current care for underserved populations
