Event info
OVERVIEW
The University of Utah Project ECHO team will provide training, mentorship, and support to learners on the current best practices and evidence-based care management of patients with PASC (Long COVID) and Post-Viral Syndromes.
- Jeanette Brown, MD, Lucinda Bateman, MD, Brayden Yellman, MD, and Clayton Powers, DPT will be the lead mentors for this ECHO series. Participants will be able to submit patient cases using the link on this page.
The CDC and AAPM&R predict between ten to thirty percent of people who had COVID-19 will go on to develop Post-Acute Sequelae of COVID-19 (PASC), also known as Long COVID. That means anywhere between 3 and 10 million Americans are experiencing symptoms associated with post-viral syndrome.
It is critical to equip healthcare professionals, of varying skill levels and specialties, with adequate knowledge and tools to effectively approach and manage the care of patients with Long COVID without relying solely on Post-COVID Care Clinics. Applying what we know from other post-viral syndromes such as ME/CFS, early and informed interventions ensure disease manageability and improved patient outcomes.
About the sessions: Sessions are held the first Thursday of the month from noon-1 pm MT
