OVERVIEW

Adoptive immunotherapy has shown encouraging results in the treatment of select hematologic malignancies and has the promise to also be applied to a wider range of diseases. In this activity, experts will discuss the basic science and translational research aspects of cellular therapies for hematologic malignancies, solid tumors, and non-oncologic conditions.

This conference aims to facilitate scientific discussion, foster collaboration, and disseminate knowledge on cellular therapy to improve the lives of our patients.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This activity is designed for primary care physicians, hematologists, pathologists, medical oncologists, resident and fellow trainees, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals dedicated to the treatment of hematologic cancers.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Describe pre-clinical and clinical cellular therapy manufacturing processes;
  • Discuss novel manufacturing techniques including point-of-care cellular therapy manufacturing;
  • List mechanisms of relapse/resistance to cellular therapy;
  • Identify strategies to overcome resistance to cellular therapy treatment approaches;
  • Describe current approaches and challenges using cellular therapy in patients with solid tumor malignancies;
  • Identify relevant targets and new therapeutic approaches for cellular therapy in solid tumor malignancies;
  • Describe current strategies using cellular therapy for the treatment of non-malignant conditions;
  • Identify new strategies in the cellular therapy research including targeting neo-antigens.

ACCREDITATION
