Dr. Derrick Heydinger is fellowship-trained in orthopedics and sports medicine and is a member of Atlantic Medical Group Orthopedics at Clark. He treats athletes at all levels, from professional to high school and weekend warriors. He has extensive training in diagnostics, including interventional ultrasound, percutaneous tenotomy, chronic exertional compartment syndrome testing, concussion diagnosis and management, and care for fractured bones. Boardcertified in family medicine and sports medicine, Dr. Heydinger received his medical degree from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency at University Hospitals St. John Medical Center where he served as chief resident, and his primary care sports medicine fellowship at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. Serving as the team physician for numerous high schools and universities, Dr. Heydinger has presented regularly on a wide range of orthopedic topics at national conferences.
