Overview

The Igor F. Palacios, MD, Lectureship and Symposium will use lecture-based discussions to promote the understanding of recent minimally invasive technologies for the treatment of congenital heart disease and advanced heart failure. Experts will also update participants on the application of Artificial Intelligence in cardiology.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this symposium, participants should be able to:

  • Discuss the advances in percutaneous treatments of congenital heart disease.
  • Discuss percutaneous treatment advances and paradigm changes in the treatment of acute heart failure.
  • Describe new developments in artificial intelligence in cardiology, recognize its current applications and understand the potential areas of growth.

Target Audience

This program is designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and other medical care providers who are interested in the latest advances in cardiology. Fellows, residents, and medical students are also welcome to attend.

Accreditation

The Texas Heart Institute designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.25 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
