Large gaps between evidence-based care and actual clinical practice exist in pulmonary medicine and they carry a significant health burden. There have been several recent advances in the treatment of patients with various pulmonary conditions. Given the specialized nature of these diseases, it is difficult for the community physician in clinical practice to maintain up-to-date knowledge regarding the diagnosis and treatment of these conditions.

This educational program is designed for pulmonologists and other healthcare providers involved in the care of patients with pulmonary disease. There will be didactic lectures, two hands-on breakout sessions and case discussions. We are honored to welcome Nichole T. Tanner, MD, MSCR, Associate Professor of Medicine and Co-Director of the Lung Cancer Screening Program at the Medical University of South Carolina, to join the Northwestern faculty in compelling and interactive discussions.
