Master the Art of Treating Patients with Immune-Mediated Cutaneous Diseases Designed by and for NPs/PAs, Biologic Coordinators, MAs, and Dermatologists!

OVERVIEW:

Join the Dermatology Education Foundation (DEF) for the DEF Biologic & Small Molecule NP/PA CME Bootcamp Series. For the last eight years, these have consisted of one-day, quarterly educational Boot Camps with consistently updated content and discussion topics based on the latest available data, including discussions of atopic dermatitis (AD), psoriasis (Ps), psoriatic arthritis (PsA), hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), alopecia areata, vitiligo, and urticaria.

We updated these FREE CME programs in 2024 to increase our educational offerings and direct benefits to dermatology NPs and PAs and their patients. Within 2024, the DEF will host two (2) live in-person meetings and one (1) virtual meeting. Casting a keen eye on building the participants' knowledge, the DEF will increase immunology education by focusing on treatment targets and mechanisms of action. In-depth immunology and case-based treatment discussions for initiating and managing inflammatory diseases will provide the training needed for dermatology NPs and PAs of all experience levels. Industry engagement and a strong focus on exploring specialty medication therapeutic options to maximize patient outcomes will allow attendees to understand better how to access these agents.

The ideal audience member will likely attend at least 2 of the Bootcamps, consisting of a basic-to-immediate course offered live on both the East and West Coast and then moving to a more advanced learning program at the end of the year. At each meeting, the intended audience includes dermatology NPs, PAs, biologic coordinators, medical assistants, and their employing physicians. Increasing the agenda offerings also allows for a larger regional conference where attendees will travel by car, train, or plane to participate.

Our faculty, Drs. April Armstrong, MD, MPH, David Cohen, MD, MPH, Kara Gooding, MS, PA-C, and Joe Gorelick, MSN, FNP-C, present live in-person content with interactive discussion. Content is intended for NPs, PAs, biologic coordinators, MAs, and physicians.

AGENDA HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE:

  • Immunology and Clinical Trial Review
  • Atopic Dermatitis, Psoriasis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Alopecia Areata, Vitiligo, and Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria Therapeutic Updates
  • Selecting the Right Patient for Initiation or Switching to a Biologic and Small Molecule Agent
  • Understanding the Role of Biosimilars
  • Calling all Practice Managers, Medical Assistants, and Biologic Coordinators for Specialty Pharmaceutical Access Sessions
  • Visual Diagnosis Challenges, Surveys, and More!
