Overview

Join us Friday, August 9 - Sunday, August 11 at the beautiful Park Hyatt Aviara Resort in Carlsbad, California. You will experience three, half-day symposiums with unique talks and in-depth discussions surrounding the latest in laser & cosmetic surgery, including ample time to network and connect with colleagues. You will be provided with continental breakfast each morning, as well as a welcome hors d'oeuvres & cocktail reception on Friday evening, lunch on Saturday and opportunities to attend other industry-sponsored meals and functions.

The claims and disclaims that follow the development of new lasers, light and energy sources, skin tightening devices, relaxers and fillers are often contradictory. The symposium offers participants a unique opportunity to learn, share and discuss controversial topics in laser and cosmetic surgery in a collegial atmosphere with a large group of experts.

Throughout The Controversies Symposium, selected faculty members present their view on given hot controversial issues in cutaneous and aesthetic surgery or challenging therapeutic problems. They then are challenged by other faculty and attendees in a lively, no holds barred discussion.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this symposium participants will be able to:

  • Identify and manage the spectrum of cosmetic and functional skin conditions treatable with energy-based devices and other aesthetic methods.
  • Determine the optimum therapy of choice for non-invasive treatment of cutaneous lesions, photoaging and chronologic aging.
  • Illustrate the rationale for use of chosen laser or aesthetic surgical treatments.
  • Interpret scientific knowledge and apply rationale to patient care.
