Overview

Cardiovascular computed tomography (CCT) has become an indispensable tool for diagnosis, procedural planning, and long-term surveillance of pediatric and adult patients with congenital heart disease (CHD).   Performing CCT imaging in patients with CHD is an evolving field that combines the knowledge and skill sets of pediatric and adult cardiology and radiology.

A half-day session for pediatric and adult CCT imagers focusing on case-based learning, interactive discussion and recent research pertaining to CCT in CHD.

Learning Objectives

  1. To interpret challenging CHD cases and discuss technical aspects of performing CCT in these cases, with a focus on platform- and vendor-specific approaches.
  2. To explore the current role of CCT in assessing and managing vascular rings.
  3. To discuss issues related to developing pediatric and CHD CCT programs, including operational considerations, training pathways and competencies.
