Target Audience:
This activity is intended for orthopaedic surgeons, primary care sports medicine physicians, primary care physicians, physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians, rheumatologists, pain management physicians, and physician assistants interested in attaining a foundation in musculoskeletal ultrasound to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal disorders.
The conference consists of 50% lectures and 50% hands-on scanning.
Educational Objectives:
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:
- Identify normal and abnormal ultrasound findings of musculoskeletal anatomy
- When appropriate, utilize ultrasound in the performance of musculoskeletal procedures
- Identify appropriate clinical situations to perform diagnostic ultrasound scans and certain ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal procedures
