This symposium will offer attendees current and evolving approaches to the management of various cardiac rhythm disorders, including VT and AF. In addition, the symposium will involve in-depth discussions regarding recent advances in the mechanisms and management of cardiac fibrillation. Speakers will utilize lectures and case presentations, which will allow attendees to incorporate the most up-to-date research into their clinical practice and, thus, optimize patient outcomes.
OBJECTIVES
- Use clinical criteria to identify patients with atrial fibrillation who may benefit from catheter ablation.
- Review the indications and efficacy data on new techniques and technologies used for complex electrophysiology device and ablation cases.
- Assess the clinical utility of the left atrial appendage closure technology based on recent and ongoing clinical trial and registry data.
- Discuss the pros and cons of epicardial access for catheter-based ablation of ventricular tachycardia in patients with various disease states.
