OVERVIEW
The purpose of this educational activity is to present the latest knowledge and methods of evaluation and treatment of endocrine and metabolic conditions affecting our patients. Through the topics discussed and the faculty involved we will aim to increase scientific knowledge and optimize practical management of endocrine diseases. Most current diagnosis, therapy and outcome practices will be emphasized.
TARGET AUDEINCE
The target audience for the activity includes active practicing and academic endocrinologists, fellows, residents in training, medical students, physician assistants, and advanced practice providers.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this educational activity participants should be able to:
- Understand the latest Ideas on Prevention and Treatment of Diabetic Kidney Disease as well as the Risks and Benefits of the Interventions
- To discuss updated guidelines in transgender medicine
- Diagnose pheochromocytoma based on clinical presentation and imaging studies
- Review reasons for poor screening rates for primary aldosteronism
- Illustrate an approach to avoid cardiovascular and renal morbidities in patients with primary aldosteronism
