ABOUT THE COURSE
This review is designed to offer a comprehensive discussion of practice-changing implications, and a current perspective on breast cancer research with relevance for the practicing clinician. Medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons, and nurses treating breast cancer patients are encouraged to attend.
Learning Objectives
- Summarize information relevant to the surgical management of breast cancer.
- Review current information on the hormonal management of breast cancer.
- Discuss novel targets in the therapy of breast cancer and their clinical implications including the role of conventional chemotherapy and of novel combinations involving conventional chemotherapy.
- Identify emerging radiation techniques and the status of these techniques in the care of patients with breast cancer.
- Review current risk prediction methods and prevention strategies.
