Dr. Jeff Leary is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with dual-fellowship training in orthopedic trauma from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and adult joint reconstruction and arthritis surgery from the Florida Orthopedic Institute. He has expertise in treating complex fractures of the extremities, pelvis and acetabulum and specialty training in hip and knee replacement surgery, robotic (MAKO) partial knee replacement surgery, and complex revision hip and knee surgery. In addition, he has extensive experience in hip replacement surgery including a muscle-sparing direct anterior approach, multimodal post-operative pain management and rapid recovery protocols. Dr. Leary served as a member of a select Special Operations Surgical Team, completing two combat support tours in Afghanistan. For his role supporting combat operations, he was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, and the Meritorious Service Medal upon completion of his military service.
