OVERVIEW
The conference is a hybrid format and thus will take place live virtually and in-person. All recordings will be available a week following the conference.
Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) is a progressive degenerative disease of the brain found in athletes (and others) with a history of repetitive brain trauma, including symptomatic concussions as well as asymptomatic subconcussive hits to the head. Brain degeneration is associated with memory loss, confusion, impaired judgment, impulse control problems, aggression, depression, and, eventually, progressive dementia.
During this two-day course, participants will learn about all aspects of CTE including its pathology, pathophysiology, genetics, biomarkers, imaging, clinical syndromes, clinical criteria, differential diagnosis, impact on veterans and implications for the family, and what it is like to live with or worry about the disease.
This Conference is leveled as Intermediate and Advanced.
