We are thrilled to announce our upcoming 4th Annual Cardiovascular Conference: Advances in Cardiovascular Disease - from Prevention to Intervention. This truly innovative educational experience is being brought to you through an easily accessible virtual platform to be released in three consecutive weeks - Tuesday June 30th, Tuesday July 7th, and Tuesday July 14th and will be available online for 90 days. 

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:

All Northwell Health CME activities are intended to improve patient care, safety and outcomes. At the conclusion of this CVE program, participants should be able to:

  • Summarize and discuss the latest clinical trials, research and guidelines in managing cardiovascular diseases.
  • Counsel patients and apply preventive medical and lifestyle therapies to their own practice.
  • Delineate the benefits and risks involved in advanced interventional and pharmacologic therapies.
  • Analyze and examine new treatments and technologies in cardiovascular medicine and provide clinical scenarios on how to incorporate them into clinical practice.
  • Evaluate and review recent literature for numerous relevant core cardiovascular topics.
  • Identify and apply specific considerations for addressing cardiovascular disease prevention in women.
  • Apply strategies to prevent physician burn-out to improve their own well-being.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

MDs, PAs, NPs, RNs, pharmacists, nutritionists, dieticians, Fellows in the areas of General, Preventive and Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology and Endocrinology, Residents in Internal Medicine, Family/Practice Medicine, Emergency Medicine and medical students along with other medical professionals with an interest in cardiology.

ACCREDITATION STATEMENT:

In support of improving patient care, Northwell Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
