OVERVIEW
Lung cancer represents in Italy the first cause of death from cancer in males and the third cause in women. Lung cancer treatment is based on the multidisciplinary integration of surgical, medical, and oncological specialties. The correct definition of the molecular profile of lung cancer patients has become the key point for designing the best therapeutic path to offer to patients. The personalization of treatments can no longer disregard the complete characterization of clinically relevant alterations, such as EGFR mutations, ALK and ROS1 translocations and evaluation of PD-L1 expression.
In this event, the leading experts in the field of lung cancer discuss clinical questions, with a view to a complete multidisciplinarity, with particular attention to current and future therapeutic options.
