Overview

Bladder cancer makes up about 4% of cancers in the US. It is the fourth most common cancer in men, but it’s less common in women. Join us for a FREE half-day, in-person event and understand the latest treatment options, diagnostic tests, imaging, and multidisciplinary treatment of non-muscle invasive bladder cancer, muscle-invasive bladder cancer, and metastatic urothelial cancer. The education will foster collaborative efforts amongst Inova physicians, APPs, nurses, and allied health professionals.

Learning Objectives

  • Summarize the VIRADS system for diagnosing bladder tumors.
  • Indicate the state-of-the-art treatments with intravesical therapies in non-muscle-invasive bladder cancers (NMIBC).
  • Identify bladder preservation in muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC).
  • Determine the role of genomics and implications in diagnosis and treatment in urothelial cancers.
  • Obtain updates in systemic therapy applications in muscle-invasive bladder cancer especially with adjuvant therapy and the changing landscape of metastatic urothelial cancer treatments
