OVERVIEW
The 31st Annual Cleveland Review of Rheumatic Diseases provides a comprehensive, state-of-the-art review of the latest advances in diagnosis and management of rheumatic diseases. The conference will be on May 20 and May 21, 2022 at Tinkham Veale Center at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. This activity is sponsored by University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and Cleveland Society of Rheumatology. The 31st Annual Cleveland Review of Rheumatic Diseases is an informative conference for rheumatologists, health care providers, and trainees in rheumatology, internists and other physicians with a special interest in rheumatic diseases. The course will review and address areas particularly focusing on the state of the art in the field of rheumatology leading to new clinical knowledge and translation into clinical practice. The course will review Strategizing Biologic therapies, Improving Outcomes for Lupus Nephritis, Pathogenesis of Axial Spondyloarthritis, and Recent Advances in Treatment of Inflammatory Myopathy, Scleroderma Management, Osteoarthritis, Long term Impact of Covid 19 on the Immune System and Vaccines in Immunocompromised Patients, Newer Guidelines for Treatment of Psoriatic Arthritis, and the Management of Axial SpA. New discoveries are being made and new treatment modalities are being developed in these areas. The course will enable the providers to learn how to manage these complex patients. Faculty speakers are selected based on their national and international expertise in the respective diseases they have been assigned to deliver a lecture. The expectations are to provide a comprehensive, state-of-the-art review of the latest advances in diagnosis and management of complex rheumatic diseases. The moderators are mainly from the faculty of University Hospitals which has organized the symposium. The expectations of the moderators are to introduce the speakers and facilitate a professional dialogue between the attendees and the speakers. Our content is focused on enhancing knowledge with the intention of improving care.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
After attending this course, participants will be able to:
- Strategize therapies in rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and axial spondyloarthritis patients that have been on chronic biologic treatment
- Discuss treatment of scleroderma, systemic lupus erythematosus osteoarthritis, inflammatory myopathy and osteoporosis incorporating recent advances in the therapy
- Identify recent advances in the pathogenesis of axial spondyloarthritis
- Describe the newer guidelines for management of psoriatic arthritis and emerging treatments for axial spondyloarthritis
- Teach the management of chronic rheumatic manifestations in patients that are infected with SARS CoV-2 (COVID long haulers)
- Demonstrate the need to prioritize vaccines in patients on immunosuppressive treatments
- Explain the management of immunosuppressive medications during perioperative period
- Report on the impact of COVID-19 infection on the immune system
- Manage patients with newer options in osteoporosis
