Overview
The 27th Annual IU Gastroenterology & Hepatology Update will deliver focused educational updates highlighting clinically relevant advances in the management of adult and pediatric patients with gastrointestinal (GI) disorders and chronic liver disease to over 200 healthcare providers. The conference will feature live endoscopy cases and an interactive format to enhance the educational impact, with internationally renowned gastroenterologists and hepatologists leading the discussion. The program faculty will review state-of-the-art developments and emerging science to incorporate expert opinions on best practices for the diagnosis and management of patients with GI disorders and chronic liver disease.
Educational Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:
- Describe current screening, diagnosis, and management options for patients with CLD and GI disorders
- Apply optimal treatment strategies for patients with CLD and GI disorders
- Compare and contrast currently available treatment modalities for CLD and GI disorders
Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners involved in the care of patients with chronic liver disease (CLD) and gastrointestinal (GI) disorders.

MOC Designation
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 9.5 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
