As the world's only truly global knee society, ISAKOS is proud to announce its second international meeting dedicated entirely to Knee Arthroplasty, October 31 - November 1 in Kyoto, Japan. Since ISAKOS' formation from the merger of the International Knee Society and International Arthroscopy Society, we have had a passion for Knee Arthroplasty and look forward to bringing a genuinely international perspective on the latest in Knee Arthroplasty, as only ISAKOS can.
Through symposia, debates, surgical video demonstrations, and interactive case-based discussion, world-renowned experts will offer insights into clinical challenges and research advancements.
Learning Objectives
Over two days of engaging presentation, discussion, debate and discovery, participants will:
- Discuss the current selection criteria for patients with knee arthritis that are likely to benefit from Total or unicompartmental knee arthroplasty.
- Incorporate the new protocols for joint arthroplasty in your practice using strategies for patient selection, peri-operative optimization and post-operative management.
- Discuss appropriate surgical technique, the concepts of alignment and balancing for performing unicompartmental knee arthroplasty, and primary and revision total knee arthroplasty.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic periprosthetic knee complications.
- Interpret the latest data and recommendations regarding evolving concepts in knee arthroplasty including outpatient surgery, robotic-assisted surgery, and new technologies.
