This year, our program is again modified to the vFAIRS virtual platform in view of the current COVID-19 pandemic; we will also use a virtual exhibitor platform for you to interact with exhibitors.
Our 2021 Virtual Hematology and Medical Oncology Review aim to disseminate state-of-the-art information from several major national meetings that have occurred within the last year including the Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), The San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABC), and the American Society of Hematology Review (ASH). Nationally and internationally known speakers will present the most recent practice-changing trial data in the field of hematology and medical oncology and will discuss crucial data with healthcare professionals treating and managing patients regarding hematological malignancies and the management of breast, lung, head, and neck, gastrointestinal, and genitourinary cancers.
TARGETED AUDIENCE
This symposium is designed for practicing medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, hematologists, pharmacists, oncology nurses and other healthcare providers involved in the hematology and medical oncology in the region.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
- Discuss current research study updates in hematological malignancies including advancements in leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and CAR-T cell therapy treatments.
- Compare and contrast improvements in the field of gastrointestinal malignancies including Colorectal, GI, Liver, and Pancreatic cancers including disease presentation, genetic risk factors, and specialized treatment.
- Discuss recent research study results on Lung cancers.
- Review new research and update in the treatment of head and neck cancers.
- Examine updates on research in various sarcoma biology and treatment.
- Evaluate research advancements in the care of breast cancer patients, diagnosis and treatment presented at ASCO 2020 and San Antonio Breast Conferences.
- Describe updates and developments in the care of GU as well as Sarcoma cancer patients.
- Outline the current emergence of oncology pharmacological treatments and discuss how this impacts disease response and patient quality of life.
