OVERVIEW

This educational activity is designed to address the underlying needs of multiple disciplines that are working with athletes and ways to incorporate technology into everyday medical practice. By discussing persistent topics about technology with athletes and patients, the attendee will further learn how to serve patients in need.  

This is a live and virtual activity. The Zoom link will be sent t 4:00 pm on 4/18/24, to the email used to register. Please be sure to indicate if you will attend live or watch virtually when you register.

The event will be held live at the MART Auditorium.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Identify emerging technological advancements in Sports Medicine and how to implement them.
  • Describe how technologies like AI and virtual reality are shaping the future student athlete.
  • Discuss the future of biologics, how they work and where the technology is going.
  • Review the emerging new treatment and prevention of concussion and how it will be treated in the future.
  • Compare the future of youth injuries in relation to new technologies and ways to diagnose and treat these injuries.
  • Recognize the role of robotics in Sports Medicine and how it will change treatment options.
  • Identify emerging technology in athletic gear and how it will affect the student athlete.
  • Consider the future of the athletic training profession and how it will change and integrate new technologies as they emerge.
  • Study the future of strength, agility and performance training as it affects the student athlete.
