Overview
This is a one day conference on home dialysis sponsored by the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Practitioners, researchers, clinician-scientists and RNs who are experts in the field of kidney disease will discuss current developments in the field of Peritoneal Dialysis and related dialysis modalities. There will be a variety of topics, including roundtable discussion with patients on increasing the utilization and retention of home dialysis.
Learning Objectives
- Summarize the practices in peritoneal dialysis in the UK.
- Review the management of diabetes in patients on peritoneal dialysis.
- Discuss the strategies to improve the outreach of dialysis modalities education in CKD population.
- Discuss the importance and role of resilience in managing chronic dialysis.
- Examine and discuss the current administrative barriers to growing PD.
