The WHS promotes headache science and education in countries often ignored by more traditional commercial ventures, for example, countries that have fewer medical professionals, are heavily indebted, have developing economies, are suffering from political conflict, or are in economic transition. The Academy serves medical students and qualified and licensed practitioners of traditional/alternative systems of medicine, as well as qualified and licensed practitioners of modern/western medicine.
