UC San Diego Parkinson & Other Movement Disorders Center

The UC San Diego Parkinson & Other Movement Disorders Center is dedicated to providing the best diagnostic, therapeutic, palliative, and supportive care to patients with movement disorders and neurodegenerative diseases. Designated a Center of Excellence by the National Parkinson Foundation, the Movement Disorders Center at UC San Diego actively advances Parkinson’s disease treatment through leading-edge clinical research, outreach and care.

The center has 3 main focuses: 

  • Research: Through research, we strive to identify the most effective interventions and continue the progress toward an eventual cure for Movement Disorders. Explore our current research opportunities and clinical trials. 
  • Education: We are committed to teaching medical and PhD students, residents, fellows and visiting health professionals throughout the state. Find out more about our fellowships, video & grand rounds and journal club.
  • Community Outreach: We host an annual symposium for community members facing Parkinsonism. Our goal is to bring together experts from a variety of fields to give you the latest information on diagnosis, treatment and overall wellbeing.
