The Benjamin Goldberg Foundation
The Benjamin Goldberg Foundation is a non-profit organization that is committed to transforming healthcare experiences through the healing arts and integrative therapies. Our mission is to empower and support children and families on their medical journey. We do this by creating inspirational healthcare environments, developing & supporting arts in health programs, and serving as a community resource. Our mission is driven by the legacy of Benjamin Goldberg, who was five years old when he was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a rare cancer that affects children. Throughout his years of treatment, music was Ben’s retreat. To pay attention to his true nature spoke volumes. He could endure unimaginable experiences, quietly reaching for his signature headphones and calming his world through music. While music and complementary therapies didn’t change the outcome, it certainly changed the story for Ben and his family. Inspired by how he lived, Wendy Goldberg (Ben’s loving mother) founded the Benjamin Goldberg Foundation. Dr. Sheetal Ajmani serves as the Medical Advisor for the Foundation, curating evidence-based content to raise awareness of the role of the healing arts and integrative therapies in medicine.
