The annual symposium is also an opportunity to recognize outstanding work in NET research through the call for abstracts. Abstracts are compiled in a yearly digital publication and serve as a comprehensive guide to the latest in NET research.
Each year, NANETS provides research grants to young investigators conducting preeminent NET research. Grants available through NANETS were established to both support new research initiatives and welcome young and eager scientific minds to the NET community. NANETS supports research in four areas: Basic/Translational Science Investigator (BTSI), NANETS Clinical Investigator Scholarship (NCIS), NANETS Theranostics Investigator Grant (NTIG), and NANETS Young Investigator (YI) Award. These annual grants support innovative research initiatives and encourage young researchers and scientific clinicians to become NET specialists.
NANETS also seeks to standardize treatment and management of NET disease through the development of consensus guidelines. These guidelines serve as important educational material for medical professionals working with NET patients and provide an overview of treatment. They are quick, accessible references for practicing physicians.
