August 24, 2022

Cardiology training focuses heavily on acute care decision-making and delivering highly effective and complex therapies.  In certain patient subsets, advanced care may be futile and survival rates low regardless of treatment.  During this program, case studies will be used to examine options and discuss when it may be time to initiate difficult conversations with patients and families.  In addition, the role of palliative care will be discussed including what it is and what it is not.

Recorded session from SCAI 2022 Fellows Courses.
