
Dr. Mohammed Elhassan
Mohammed G. Elhassan, MD, is an Academic Hospitalist, Clinician, and Medical Educator with a career dedicated to advancing patient care and medical education. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, Fellow of Hospital Medicine, and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in London. He earned his MBBS degree from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Khartoum, Sudan, and completed his Internal Medicine residency training at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ, in 2013.
Dr. Elhassan has since established himself as a contributor to academic medicine, serving as a Core Faculty member and Academic Hospitalist. He began his academic career at the UCSF Fresno Internal Medicine Residency Program and currently holds the position of Associate Program Director at the Saint Agnes Medical Center Residency Program in Fresno, CA. In addition to his clinical and administrative roles, Dr. Elhassan is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at California Northstate University College of Medicine (CNUCOM), following his tenure as an Associate Clinical
Professor at UCSF. His scholarly work spans a wide range of medical disciplines, with a particular focus on
evidence-based physical examination, point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), medical education, and clinical reasoning. Dr. Elhassan has contributed to the field through peer-reviewed publications and a YouTube channel, where he shares insights and innovations in medicine.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Dr. Elhassan is a devoted family man and father of two. He enjoys spending quality time with his family and staying active through soccer and table tennis, often playing with colleagues and friends.
